DVD Release
There has been NO OFFICIAL RELEASE on DVD of the complete Spider-Man: The Animated Series in the UNITED STATES. However, there have been TWO OFFICIAL RELEASES in the UNITED KINGDOM. One release is a regular boxed set. The second is a "deluxe limited edition" packaged in the form of a comic book. Keep in mind that these DVDs cannot be played on a U.S. DVD player unless it is "region-free" (Google "region free DVD Players" if you want to get one). I'm also told that you can play these DVDs on your PC using VLC PLAYER, which is a free software download that you can get HERE. Click on the pictures below to purchase the UK DVD boxed sets. These are LEGITIMATE releases and the quality is EXCELLENT.
While there has not been an official DVD release of "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" in the U.S., one company, ToonDVDs, has released an unofficial "bootleg" DVD set that comes in slick packaging that looks as good as a commercial release. This WILL play on American DVD players. My guess is that it's mastered from the official UK DVD release of the series (see above), so the quality is probably excellent - but I don't own it and that is just a guess. I can't officially endorse this product, because it is possibly being sold illegally. I'm just letting you know that it exists. Click on the picture below to go to ToonDVDs.
